Breakthrough Technologies
Like Edison's light bulb or Tesla's alternating current, breakthrough technologies are often the achievement of a single creative individual, working alone and outside mainstream institutions. Breakthrough discoveries exist today in basements, garages and home laboratories, waiting to connect to the individual or group able to create trust with the inventor and orchestrate large-scale commercial or humanitarian undertakings.
Through breakthrough discoveries, the daily lives of ordinary people are changed. When combined in creative arrangements, breakthrough discoveries may also bring a new way of living. For example, in the early 1900s, five breakthrough technologies — structural steel, line electricity, the telephone, the Otis Elevator and the light bulb — impacted our world. When brought together, they created the modern vertical city.
In the areas of housing, water, energy, food, health, air quality and waste, the Foundation for a New Humanity supports the exceptional inventor holding a breakthrough technology "proof of concept" or laboratory prototype with potential to positively uplift the human condition.
The Foundation for a New Humanity has no commercial interest in inventors of breakthrough technologies. We assist selected inventors with introductions to commercial entities, provide legal and other support services and grant awards for exceptional discoveries such as the New Humanity Prize. Inventors or their representatives are invited to present their breakthrough technology in the form of a written summary to the Foundation for a New Humanity, attention President. The Foundation will execute non-disclosure agreements prior to such submittals upon request. All submittals will receive a written response. New technologies selected as breakthrough discoveries are introduced to various global networks established by the Foundation. Foundation assistance to selected inventors is provided for intellectual property protection, business plan development, investor introductions, strategy consultations and other support services. There is no fee to a selected inventor for Foundation services.
